Thank you for explaining and exposing the truth. I was there that night when a Mom poured out her heart to read what her daughter was assigned to read. There were many parents, teachers, and community stakeholders there that night. It was heartbreaking to hear a mother have to speak about her daughters traumatic educational experience that could have been avoided.
Notice that the Education Establishment wants nothing but "local control" when it allows them to route tax dollars into their own pay and benefits, but doesn't believe in it when it allows locally elected board members to determine what their district's curriculum looks like.
Typical "we like it when it benefits us, we don't like it when it doesn't" hypocrisy....
