Throughout history, citizens of this nation and across the globe have tried to define what makes up the “American spirit.” It can be seen in the Marine fighting in the halls of Montezuma and the shores of Tripoli, the young men storming the beaches of Normandy, the Navy Seal team taking down Bin Laden, and the American women working in factories to help the war effort. It seems that the “American spirit” is called on in times of strife and conflict.
There has never been a time in history when we need the American spirit more than now. We are not facing a foreign enemy. We are not facing battle ravaged territories and undergoing enemy fire. We are facing a far more insidious and cunning enemy—an enemy that has been quietly seeping into every area of society. The new battlefield, if you will, is our parental rights. The sacred and unspoken oath to protect your children has been preyed upon and dismantled by the new notion that government knows how to best protect your children. The enemy is ubiquitous, using tactics of diversion and stealth, aided by entities and organizations wearing the moniker of trust and protection. The government by the people and for the people is now an oxymoron.
This government and its “elected officials” are authoring bills that will take away your right to decide what your children need medically, your ability to ask questions will be stripped away, your actions and questions will be tracked, and your doctor will be criminally punished should they take the bold move to practice medicine and determine the best medical treatment for their patients. There will be no grand battlefield with spectacular mortal combat, no explosions, no takeover of territories, no percussion of bombs felt, no grand military invasion. There will be a continued erosion of the sacred freedoms the “American Spirit” has been called upon to protect. It will happen so innocuously that you will wake up one day and realize your children are no longer yours – they will be wards of the state and you were simply the vessel of birth.
This may seem like a dystopian science-fiction script out of the possibility of reality. The reality is that we are already deep in this battle. In states like California, you have already lost the ability to even access your child’s medical records beyond the age of twelve. Should SB871 pass, you will no longer have the right to choose whether or not your child is “vaccinated” with an experimental drug for a virus that poses no risk to healthy children and does not stop the acquisition or transmission of the virus in order to attend school.
AB2098 will classify any “anti-covid” medical opinion as “unprofessional conduct” subject to medical license review by the medical board. SB1390 prohibits any person or entity from making statements that the government deems untrue or misleading. These are not fictional bills. They have been authored with some of the most tyrannical and dangerous ideologies that directly attack children and their parents’ right to engage in the most basic of human rights – protecting your children.
This moment in time will determine how freely our children and generations to come will be able to live. This moment in time will determine if the freest and most opportunity giving civilization will succumb to the enemy within or rise to the call of the “American Spirit”.
