US Appeals Court Blocks COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for Federal Workers
A federal appeals court has halted the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal workers nationwide.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans ruled (pdf) in an en banc hearing on Thursday to keep a preliminary injunction on the COVID-19 vaccine mandate in place amid ongoing litigation over the matter.
En banc is a legal term that means a case is heard by the entire bench of a court, rather than just by a panel of judges selected from the bench.
The latest move by the full appeals court of 16 full-time judges reverses a previous ruling that was made by a smaller panel of judges from the same appeals court. That three-judge panel had ruled in April 2022 to uphold the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal workers.

Detransitioned Teen Girl Sues Kaiser Permanente Over Gender Transition Gone Wrong
A detransitioned teen is suing Kaiser Permanente hospital because doctors removed her breasts during her transgender procedure.
Layla Jane is an 18-year-old woman who began to identify as transgender at age 11. Jane, at the time, wanted to transition to a male. Initially, doctors at Kaiser denied her any transition hormones, saying she could take them after turning 16. However, doctors changed their minds, approved her request, and performed a double mastectomy when she was 13.
Jane wrote on Twitter, “Mind boggling to me that a doctor signed off on a double mastectomy for me before I took a sex ed course. I barely started 8th grade, I was 13.”

Pentagon doctors claim 7-year-olds can make decisions to be injected with hormones, puberty suppressants
The authors – David A. Klein, Thomas Baxter, Noelle S. Larson as well as clinical psychologist, Natasha A. Schvey, PhD – demanded the military train all of its providers on their ideas on gender medical interventions for minors, despite acknowledging that 53% of military-affiliated physicians in the Department of Defense health system indicated they would refuse to prescribe hormones regardless of any training.
Klein, Schvey and Baxter work at Travis Air Force Base in California, and Larson — a pediatric endocrinologist – works at the Department of Pediatrics at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Some of the authors work at Uniformed Services University – a military institution. The article recommended this institution take the lead in pushing forward trainings on "gender-affirming care" within the Pentagon health system.

Minnesota’s first transgender lawmaker named one of USA Today’s ‘Women of the Year’
Minnesota’s first transgender lawmaker has been named one of USA Today’s “Women of the Year.”
State Rep. Leigh Finke was honored alongside the likes of former First Lady Michelle Obama, actress Goldie Hawn and NASA astronaut Col. Nicole Mann as a select group of “local and national heroines who make a positive impact in their communities every day.”
Finke — who transitioned in 2017 — is the second transgender woman to make the list, following last year’s selection of President Biden’s Assistant Secretary of Health, Rachel Levine.
She admitted Wednesday that “the hate has increased exponentially” after her controversial selection, with critics calling her spot on the list “an arrogant attack on women.”
I feel crazy but did something happen with the chart of wins and losses you guys just put out?
