Biden Administration Charges New York Midwives Over Fake Vaccine Cards
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has charged the owner and two employees of a New York midwife practice of distributing more than 2,600 fake COVID-19 vaccine cards.
In a press release, the DOJ said that two nurse midwives (one of whom is the owner) at Sage-Femme Midwifery PLLC, as well as a nurse working at the practice, have been charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Trans teen died from vaginoplasty complications during landmark Dutch study used to justify child sex changes
The patient is described as being a “healthy” 18-year-old for whom standard vaginoplasty surgery was “not feasible” due to having undeveloped genitals as a result of early puberty suppression.
Major complications began within 24 hours of surgery, and necrotizing fasciitis was confirmed in the days that followed. Despite large doses of intravenous antibiotics and “repeated surgical debridement,” the previously healthy patient went into multiple organ failure and died.

Researchers in Germany found that elevated levels of carbon dioxide in pregnant women were associated with an increased risk of birth defects.

California Teachers Sue School District Over Policy of Hiding Children’s Gender Transition from Parents
Teachers from a California middle school sued their school district and the state education board on Thursday over policies that they say require them to hide students’ intentions to change genders from their parents.
The federal lawsuit filed by attorneys from the Thomas More Society alleges that administrators at the Escondido Union School District and California State Board of Education violated the First Amendment with a policy that would compel teachers to aid in a student’s transgender “social transition.” The litigation was prompted by Escondido’s implementation of a series of new policies on the treatment of “transgender” or “gender diverse” students.

CDC: Nearly One in Four HS Students Don't Identify as Straight
Nearly 25 percent of high school students identify as something other than straight, more than double than previous years, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's biennial Youth Risk Behavior Survey.
Just 15 percent in 2017 answered that they were "gay," "lesbian," "bisexual," "or questioning" their sexual preference, though the CDC notes that changes to how it states the questions could be responsible for the rise.
"Increases in the percentage of LGBQ+ students in YRBSS 2021 might be a result of changes in question wording to include students identifying as questioning, 'I am not sure about my sexual identity (questioning),' or other, 'I describe my sexual identity in some other way'" the agency wrote.
