The One-Two Punch Against Spike Proteins: Nattokinase and Ivermectin
Those who had the mRNA COVID vaccines may be programmed to produce spike proteins for a period of time, for which nobody is yet certain of the duration. In my last Substack essay, I argued that ivermectin and nattokinase are the two most helpful substances I have known to degrade spike proteins and to help COVID-vaccinated people feel better.
Nattokinase is a proteolytic enzyme, so its effect on spike proteins is degradative, chewing up the most problematic S1 and S2 edges, so to speak, to sort of de-fang that molecule. Ivermectin, on the other hand, interferes with the spikes’ docking onto and entry into the cell. So the one-two punch is that nattokinase interferes with spike structure, while ivermectin interferes with spike transport and function.

Doctors Can Prescribe Ivermectin for COVID-19: FDA Lawyer
Doctors are free to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID-19, a lawyer representing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said this week.
"FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID," Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA, said during oral arguments on Aug. 8 in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.
The government is defending the FDA's repeated exhortations to people to not take ivermectin for COVID-19, including a post that said "Stop it."

Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy Following COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Dose: A Case Report
Abstract
Although the efficacy and safety of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine have been established, side effects and adverse events related to the COVID-19 vaccine are still coming out. COVID-19 vaccine also has the potential to cause acute and long-term cardiovascular effects, which include myocarditis, pericarditis, myopericarditis, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, thrombotic thrombocytopenia, and pulmonary hemorrhage. Although uncommon, takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM) has also been reported following COVID-19 vaccination. We report a case of TCM following the COVID-19 vaccine in a 59-year-old female who presented with intermittent chest pain and dyspnea following the COVID-19 vaccine booster dose. She had no identifiable triggers for TCM, no risk factors for cardiovascular disease, and normal cardiac enzyme levels, ruling out other causes of cardiac dysfunction. The diagnosis of TCM was supported by imaging findings and the absence of obstructive or thrombotic lesions on angiography. NIH Claims Pregnant Women and Newborns Can Benefit From COVID-19 Boosters Based on Flawed Study Data
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) says mothers and their newborns can benefit from COVID-19 vaccine boosters given during pregnancy after a study showed significantly higher antibody levels in the cord blood of babies born to women who received a booster during pregnancy compared with those who only received the two-dose primary series.
Yet the study cited had some major limitations. It used monovalent COVID-19 vaccines that are no longer available in the United States, did not assess the effectiveness of the vaccine against currently dominant COVID-19 variants, did not provide safety data for a third vaccine dose, and determined the vaccine would be protective based on neutralizing antibody levels alone.

Rutgers to Kick Out Students Today Who Don’t Comply With Covid Vaccine Mandates
Out of 2,679 four-year colleges and institutions, only a handful, including Rutgers, continue to enforce COVID-19 vaccine requirements. According to unnamed sources, Rutgers is preparing to drop non-compliant students starting today.
Maybe it’s been a long time coming for this rigid devotion to COVID-19 vaccine regulations. Rutgers had among of the harshest pandemic lockdown regulations in 2020 and 2021, even as other institutions were figuring out how to get back to business as usual.
Students soon lined up, and anyone who objected to the lockdown or mask requirements was branded a grandmother killer and an anti-science MAGA (Make America Great Again) supporter.

New Covid variant BA.6 is 'probably' already in the US, experts warn - amid calls for masks to return
However, there is no data yet on whether the strain is more likely to cause hospitalizations or deaths than previous variants.
Almost everyone now has a level of immunity against Covid, and the virus has been evolving to become more infectious but less deadly, reducing the risk of another wave like those seen in the early phase of the pandemic.
Dr Raj Rajnarayanan, from the New York Institute of Technology, added: 'It hasn't been identified yet, but if it's not here now, it will be here soon!'
And Dr Aaron Glatt, an epidemiologist from Mount Sinai in New York, said that it was 'always possible' that the variant had already arrived in the US.

WA Governor Sued for Bill Enabling Chemical Castration of Minors Without Parental Consent
Nonprofit legal advocacy America First Legal (AFL) filed a lawsuit against a Washington state bill allowing shelters to hide transgender children from parents and prescribe them gender transition procedures.
The lawsuit (pdf) has been filed against the Governor of Washington, Jay Inslee; the Attorney General of Washington, Robert Furguson; and the Secretary of the Washington Department of Children, Youth, and Families, Ross Hunter. It seeks to prevent the enforcement of the state’s Senate Bill 5599, which “allows shelters to take in children struggling with gender dysphoria and potentially provide them with life-altering ‘care’ (potentially including sterilization) without parental consent or knowledge,” according to an Aug. 16 post by the organization which filed the case on behalf of plaintiffs.

North Carolina Legislature Overrides Democratic Governor's Vetoes of Transgender Bills
North Carolina’s Republican-led general assembly voted on Aug. 16 to override Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper’s veto of a bill that restricts discussions of sexual orientation and gender identity in elementary schools and expands parents’ access to information about their children’s education.
The “Parents’ Bill of Rights,” which is now passed into law after both chambers voted to override the veto, bans talk of sexual orientation and gender identity for students in kindergarten through fourth grade. It also requires parental notification prior to any changes in a child’s name or pronoun use at school, among other provisions.
The GOP enjoys veto-proof supermajorities in both chambers of the North Carolina General Assembly. Putting those majorities to use on Aug. 16, Republicans in the Senate and House also overrode the governor’s vetoes of two other bills related to transgender youth.

‘TikTok Influencers Made Me Think I Was Transgender—Now I’m De-Transitioning,’ Says Montana Teen Girl
A teenage girl says she is de-transitioning after being influenced to wrongly identify as a boy by TikTok users.
Ash Eskridge, 16, a student from Missoula, Montana, started transitioning into a male when she was 13 years old. She said she was feeling depressed at age 12 and was influenced by “social media influencers” who made her think she was transgender.
Ash got her name changed legally, going by Greysen, and socially transitioned, which involved getting a new wardrobe and cutting her hair. Once she turned 16, Ash started taking testosterone and her voice became lower. She realized she made a mistake in April after feeling “unnatural” having body hair and a low voice and began de-transitioning this year.

What Has Happened to Teens?
I just had a long visit with a high school teacher who doubles in physical education and some basic sciences classes. I recall his type from when I was in school. Earnest, rough, true blue, cares about the kids, does his job, and so on.
During lockdowns, like many teachers, he started a side gig. He buys and sells mattresses, of all things, and he is doing well for himself just in his off-hours. He has no debt, no employees, and very low real estate costs. To trade with him requires an appointment but it’s worth it because his prices are far lower than the retail outlets. And he is able to keep up with his teaching position at the same time.
