In 2020 there were 1.7 million active nonprofit organizations in the US, with churches, schools, and foundations making up about 40% of nonprofits and 501(c)(3) tax exempt charities. The pandemic affected many of these organizations in terms of donations, involvement, and volunteerism. On the flip side, many new nonprofit organizations have been formed, like The Unity Project, to combat the government overreach and tyrannical policies that led to so many groups being forced to shut down.
Since inception, the mission of The Unity Project has been to amplify the voices moving the needle in the medical freedom and parental rights movement, bring forth truth through evidence-based science and medical experts, and provide education and resources with tangible tools and expert insights.
We have built an action-oriented, diverse community guided by integrity across the political, racial, and socio-economic landscapes. As the mission evolves, and the movement progresses, our goal is to continue providing the most up-to-date resources, meaningful conversations and impactful tools in a user friendly setting.
So on National Nonprofit Day, we are launching our all new website www.TheUnityProject.org.
We hope you take a few minutes to check out the new site, visit our new pages including our Podcasts, Resources, Scientific Papers, Take Action pages as well as The Conduit, a one stop shop where you can find all of our communication platforms and archives.
The Unity Project is entrenched in this movement and we truly appreciate each and everyone who has supported us as an organization, our board and strategic council of medical experts and scientists, and the hundreds of thousands of freedom fighters that make up our network of strategic partners.
There is power in truth and the number of people speaking it!
History of National Nonprofit Day
Sherita J. Herring, a renowned speaker, best-selling author, and business strategist, founded National Nonprofit Day to educate, enlighten and empower others to make a difference while acknowledging those in the trenches, impacting lives every day – the Change-Makers of the World!
She chose August 17th because that’s when the Tariff Act of 1894 was signed into law. The Tariff Act of 1894 imposed the first federal income tax on corporations, including exemptions for nonprofit corporations and charitable institutions. Nonprofit exemptions remain a solid part of the law and have served significant benefits for communities and the economy.
So proud to stand with all of you, and every member of The Unity Project.
