How the Medical System Has Demolished Our Trust #TeenTuesday
Contributing article by Teens Against Mandates
What do we do now if we can’t trust the medical establishment?
“Get vaccinated to protect your grandma,” they said. “Do it for the immunocompromised, the vulnerable, and the elderly. Do it to keep our communities safe; don’t be selfish,” they said. “Follow the science, trust the experts.”
But what if the experts have been more wrong than we know? Should we continue to trust them?
We have been steered in multiple different directions, told to blindly follow the “experts” who advised the public to take multiple doses of the “safe and effective” vaccine which has since been proven ineffective in preventing infection or transmission. Despite multiple safety signals via VAERS, the UK Yellow Card System, and EudraVigilance, which report serious adverse events, the so-called experts turned a blind eye.
So what now? Where do we go from here? Who should we trust with our health?
Where has blind obedience gotten the world-class athletes, the young adults, and the teens – all among the healthiest and most invulnerable demographic groups – who now may be at risk for both short-term and long-term vaccine-related injuries?
As someone who has always seen herself pursuing medicine in the future, I never would’ve imagined that by any reason other than my own volition, I would be forced to choose an alternative career path. But my passion for the field itself has almost been outweighed by my outrage for the appalling ways in which the medical establishment mismanaged the pandemic response.
I am put off by the medical system’s lack of integrity and its readiness to mislead an entire nation of people into blind compliance. The line has been crossed for so many people – myself included. And I know for a fact that many other teens are in the same boat. Where does this leave me and a whole generation of would-be medical professionals?
Unwilling to compromise my values nor my vocational interests, my dilemma remains unresolved. How can my peers and I pursue a life in the medical field when such a life is strained by the government’s gag-orders and all other kinds of pressures to endorse unconstitutional and unethical mandates?
Doctors in practice who refused the vaccine have had to choose between their careers and their core values. Dr. William Makis MD, a Canadian physician and cancer researcher recently wrote a letter to the Canadian Medical Association, requesting they investigate the unusual death of 80 young doctors since the COVID vaccine rollout. This is 800% above the expected baseline number. Dr. Makis is an example of a doctor who is courageous enough to speak out with his concerns, but he may face retaliation. Similarly, Dr. Peter McCullough, a well-known cardiologist, has been very outspoken about the cardiac risks associated with the vaccine and has recently been stripped of his board certifications.
How can we, in good conscience, trust the agencies whose decision-making has been hijacked by political and financial interests? Between the countless medical scandals, suppression of life-saving medicines such as Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine, lack of transparency around the original vaccine trial data, and the abuse of authority by FDA and CDC physicians and scientists who profited by pushing the vaccine agenda, many people are starting to recognize the corruption that exists in the medical system today. Not to mention, the lockdowns that did more harm than good. Meanwhile, in places like Sweden, lockdowns were not enforced and schools were kept open. And they had better outcomes in terms of excess mortality rates.
We now know that the public health agencies marginalized those who refused to submit to their mandates. They encouraged hysteria and caused division. They weaponized our fear and used it against us. They told us to blindly follow health guidelines and the mainstream narrative and to “cancel” those who didn’t. They told us that our belonging in society was conditional on compliance to these mandates. This begs the question of how a society is supposed to function properly when our governing bodies lie directly to our faces. Is this behavior we want to forgive?
Will the CDC and FDA continue to be the primary agencies to whom people place their unencumbered trust? So many of us will not be able to look to them for advice, leadership, and guidance the way we did pre-pandemic.
Who’s to say that these mandates won’t repeat themselves in future contexts? Could another state of emergency be declared for monkeypox or RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus)? Masking in schools is already being discussed for RSV and the flu. When is enough enough?
Once trust is broken, it is very hard to restore. It could take a generation, or two. Until then, we must stress the importance of self-sufficiency, independent research, and healthy habits.
My generation will have to hold these agencies accountable and find a way to disentangle pharmaceutical funding from healthcare guidelines.
Encouraging to know some younger people are not brainwashed. Alternative medicine! I love my integrative medicine doctor, he left insurance dictated hospital 20 years ago. He was told to stop spending so much time with his patients .
While I am certainly not advocating for the ethical youngsters to compromise their morals to pursue the medical profession, this does pose a question to us middle age folks: The young people with ethics are not becoming doctors. Who does that leave to take care of us when we inevitably get old and sick? What impact will this have on our live expectancy? My grandparents made it to the age of anywhere from 69 to 88, my parents are in their 60's. I don't expect to live as long as my parents have.
